Senior Substitute (Intermittent)
ABOUT THE ROLE: Reporting to Library Administration, Senior Substitutes provide outstanding customer service to members of the public and support to library staff through shift coverage at the Main Library and all branches.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education and Experience: High school diploma or high school equivalency required.

ABOUT THE ROLE: The Cambridge Public Library with its seven locations will become a public hub for digital equity learning in the City of Cambridge. In partnership with other City Departments, the Library will continue to foster equity and access by engaging the public in quality digital equity learning experiences. The Library’s Digital Equity Manager will collaborate with City staff to drive the Library’s digital equity agenda, spearhead new initiatives
around digital equity learning, and create high quality digital equity curriculum.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: A Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in science, technology, education or related field and 3-5 years of experience in education, curriculum development and instruction, libraries, and/or related program management.
Staff Librarian for Older Adults, Adult Services
ABOUT THE ROLE: Deliver outstanding library services in a diverse community to patrons of all ages, especially adults and older adults. Coordinate delivery of library materials to residents who are unable to visit the library. Perform reference, readers’ advisory, collection development, programming, and outreach activities.
MINUMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree from an ALA-accredited MLS program and experience working with older adults and diverse populations is required. In exceptional instances, specialized education, training and/or experience may be substituted for part or all of the required elements.
